At Agni Yoga

We encourage you to explore the depths of your inner self so you can live more authentically. We harness the power of intentional movement and breath to help you understand your body more intuitively, connect deeper with your mind and spirit, and experience monumental shifts in your life. The driving force of our community is embracing the challenges and triumphs of every student, while making them feel part of something that’s bigger than themselves.

The School

For nearly two decades, Agni Yoga has been a sacred space in the heart of Sellwood. After reopening in 2014, we emerged with a fresh perspective and a new renovated space to provide a more elevated experience for our community.

Radiant Heat Panels

Infrared light helps cells regenerate or repair themselves. Infrared light also improves the circulation of oxygen-rich blood in the body, promoting faster healing of deep tissues and relieving pain.

Breathe Easier

The hot room was designed to provide fresh air, while exhausting an equal amount of stale air outside. Air-to-air energy is transferred between the airstreams to deliver the air more comfortably and quietly.

Unlike forced air heating systems, our infrared radiant heating panels do not blow dust or allergens.

Cleaner Classes

For us, cleanliness is next to godliness. Our antimicrobial flotex flooring is durable, safe and captures airborne allergens and dust, in both dry and wet conditions. It’s completely waterproof and protects against mold and odors.

Our Approach

Our approach is predicated on building unity. Yoga doesn’t play favorites. It doesn’t matter who you are or what level you’re at, the simplest of postures are a challenge to everyone. At Agni Yoga, we believe that the challenges are what bind us and form the true bonds to build a community. It’s these challenges that cultivate real connections and encourage every student to show up, stay motivated, and support each other. Our instructors each bring something different to the table, all while taking a shared leadership approach. We are directive and responsive in our teaching style and do everything in our power to make every student feel seen and appreciated.

Meet Leah Shirley

Leah Shirley embarked on a journey to heal her mind and body through the power of yoga over two decades ago.
